You trained as an architect, but maybe you’re not sure you want to be one anymore.

Maybe you’ve realised that the part you’re actually great at isn’t dreaming up beautiful designs - it’s the details, reading plans, understanding drawings, noticing inconsistencies, working through technical information and making sure everything works.

You’re analytical, diligent and incredibly thorough. You can look at a set of drawings and instinctively start pulling things apart, comparing information and spotting the tiny detail someone else has missed.

You’re tired of being slammed with work, unrealistic deadlines and dealing with an industry where long hours can almost feel like a badge of honour.

You don’t need your next role to be creatively glamorous or have your name attached to an incredible building - you are sick of the egos. You’re looking for a stable, down to earth company, with good people and a role where the work you do genuinely matters.

The role is Bid & Tender Coordinator for Novus, a growing family-owned precast business working across residential, commercial, government & infrastructure projects.

And to be really clear - this isn’t a design role.

The work is process-driven, detailed and technical. You’ll be going through plans, drawings, contracts and project documentation, comparing information, finding discrepancies, identifying what’s missing and asking the questions needed to get everything correct before a project is priced.





If your brain enjoys finding the one thing that doesn’t match between a drawing and a contract, you’ll probably bloody love it.

It’s also an incredibly key role within the business. The information you pull together directly impacts how accurately projects are priced and ultimately how successfully they’re delivered. You become the person the team relies on to make sure they’ve got it right.

There can be around 12 projects moving through the process at once, so you’ll need to be brilliant at managing priorities & deadlines. There’s a repeatable process to follow, but every project is different enough to give you a new puzzle to solve.

You don’t need previous bid management or precast experience - your architectural background would give you a brilliant foundation - you already understand plans, drawings, technical documentation and how to interrogate information - we can teach you the rest.
