About The Role

As a Bridging Families Case Officer, you will work collaboratively with families, children, Child Safety Services, and community stakeholders to preserve family relationships wherever possible and support the safe reunification of children with their families when it is in their best interests.

This Is a Highly Rewarding Role Where You Will





- Deliver intensive family intervention and case management services.
- Support parents to develop practical parenting skills and strengthen family functioning.
- Participate in case planning and case reviews alongside Child Safety Services.
- Facilitate supervised family contact where required.
- Coordinate referrals and connect families with appropriate support services.
- Advocate for positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
- Provide detailed case notes, reports, and documentation to support service delivery and funding requirements.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a dedicated professional who brings both the qualifications and practical experience required to successfully support complex family situations.

Essential Qualifications & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Humanities, Social Work, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, Community Services, or a related discipline.

A minimum of 18 months'

experience working within the Human Services, Community Services, Child Protection, Family Support, or a closely related sector.

- Demonstrated experience working with children, young people, and families experiencing complex challenges.
- Strong knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of,



child protection legislation and frameworks, including the Queensland Child Protection Act.
- Exceptional communication, engagement, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing case plans, completing assessments, and writing professional reports.
- The ability to effectively manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and contribute positively within a multidisciplinary team.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card or equivalent).
- Current Open Driver's Licence.
- Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Child Safety Suitability Check.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet client and service needs.
