About the role

Engage Security Professionals is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager – Security Services Guarding and Patrols to join our growing team. This is a full time position based in Melbourne VIC , offering an exciting opportunity to drive business growth and expand our security services portfolio.

As Business Development

Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and developing client relationships that will propel our organisation forward in the competitive security services industry.

What you'll be doing

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the security Guarding and patrols sector, developing and executing targeted sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service expansion and upselling
- Develop compelling business proposals and pitches tailored to prospective clients' security requirements
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and positioning of our services
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and service delivery, to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery
- Negotiate contracts and terms with new and existing clients, ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to establish brand presence and generate leads
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to senior management
- Develop strategic partnerships with complementary service providers to expand market reach and service offerings





What we're looking for

- Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles, ideally within the security services industry or a related sector
- Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Victorian Security Adviser licence.
- Strong understanding of the security services market, including knowledge of industry trends, compliance requirements, and client needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and convert them into profitable business
- Experience in contract negotiation and closing high-value deals
- Strong networking skills and the ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales tools
- Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is advantageous
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Melbourne metropolitan area
