About the Narpow Point Education Centre
Narpow Point Education Centre is Redlands College's residential immersion campus on Teouma Bay, a 30-minute drive from Port Vila, Vanuatu. It is home to Project Vila, the College's flagship Year 9 residential service-learning program, and also hosts mission trips, leadership camps, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and Marine Biology excursions. For part of the year, the site is made available to other schools and organisations running their own residential programs.
The Role
Lead with heart. Live on the water. Shape a life-changing program in Vanuatu.
We're seeking a Campus Director to lead the operation and administration of the Narpow Point Education Centre. Based in office in Vanuatu, you'll oversee everything from program delivery and facilities to finances, staffing and compliance, ensuring students, staff and visiting groups have a safe, well-run and transformative experience.
You'll work closely with College staff, local contacts and visiting group leaders, balancing hands-on operational management with the pastoral and cultural sensitivity the role demands. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a remote, community-focused setting and wants to make a genuine, lasting impact.
Key Duties
- Oversee the organisation, administration and in-country delivery of all programs run at the Centre, including Project Vila, mission trips, Duke of Edinburgh activities and school excursions.
- Manage accommodation, transport, meals, airport transfers,
activities and supervision for program participants.
- Plan, develop and maintain campus facilities, vehicles and grounds.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget, and oversee local payroll, invoicing and accounting processes.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, and maintain safety and child safety standards across the campus.
- Ensure compliance with College guidelines and Vanuatu domestic regulations and laws.
- Provide regular reports to the Executive on the Centre's operation.
Selection Criteria
- Proven management and leadership experience, ideally in a remote or international setting.
- Mission or international experience, with genuine cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Current Positive Notice Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
- Remote First Aid & CPR, Bronze Medallion, and Light Rigid driver's licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Sound financial management and budgeting skills.
- A committed, practising Christian, able to support and model the College's faith and values.
An appropriate remuneration package (including furnished house, utilities and transport) will be negotiated with the applicant.
