Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Brisbane, QLD. You will work on residential renovation projects, performing framing, structural work, and finish carpentry to meet design specifications and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting plans, constructing and installing frameworks, and completing detailed trim and finishing work.

The role involves safe and efficient use of hand and power tools, collaboration with site supervisors and other trades, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.



You will contribute to delivering high-quality, liveable spaces that align with JDL Construction’s design-led approach.

Qualifications

- 5+ years post-trade experience
- Strong carpentry skills, including framing and structural work.
- Proficient use of power tools and hand tools with a focus on safety.
- Experience in finish carpentry, including trim, and detailed interior work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and follow design specifications.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of building codes, site safety practices, and quality standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of an on-site team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working with tools throughout the day.
- Previous experience in residential renovations or custom homes is highly regarded.
