About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Chef to join the Villa Firestone team in Mannum, SA. This is a senior position in our kitchen and we are looking for a responsible individual who enjoys creating fantastic food and working in a positive team setting. Villa Firestone is an iconic wedding destination venue offering premium accommodation and food and beverage services in the Riverland.

You will be responsible for creating delicious Italian and Asian inspired food in our 150 year old wood fired Scotch Oven, and modern kitchen, and your cuisine will be served to waiting guests in our rustic stone walled courtyard 100 seat restaurant and function venue.

As we only trade three to five days per weeks in the evenings, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a more relaxed life style in our beautiful rive side tourist town.

What you'll be doing

1. Working with management to develop a al carte and function menus.
2. Ordering and managing stock levels
3. Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to our menu
4. Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all food items
5. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
6. Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
7. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef or Cook
2.



The skills and ability to manage the kitchen operation on a day to day basis
3. Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
4. Ability to maintain a position team attitude, and to lead by example
5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
6. Good communication and teamwork skills
7. Food safety certification and relevant qualifications
