If you’re a Civil Designer who enjoys owning your work and seeing projects through from concept to delivery, this is a outstanding opportunity to step into a role with real responsibility. Based in our Rockhampton office, you’ll work on a mix of projects while being part of a close-knit team that values quality, accountability and practical outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for producing civil designs and documentation that support project delivery from start to finish. Working closely with the General Manager, Project Managers and Senior Designers, your day-to-day will include designing, drafting and coordinating project information.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll:

- Prepare detailed design drawings, calculations and documentation
- Use tools like 12d and AutoCAD to deliver accurate, compliant designs
- Liaise with councils, authorities and external stakeholders
- Manage and maintain project documentation and drawing registers
- Support project timelines by working efficiently and flagging risks early
- Provide guidance to Cadet Designers and Drafters within the team

You’ll be trusted to manage your workload, contribute to project outcomes and take pride in the quality of your deliverables.

What you’ll need

- Around 3+ years’ experience in civil design/drafting
- Practical experience using AutoCAD and 12d Model




- Strong understanding of engineering design principles, standards and approvals processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and a sense of ownership over your work

Nice to have:
- An associate degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience liaising with local councils or state authorities

Just as important as your technical skills is your ability to work well with others, communicate clearly and stay proactive when challenges arise.
