Fusion People are currently seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand / Foreman to join a reputable civil contractor delivering a range of civil projects across Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a well-established contractor, with a strong pipeline of projects and permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role As the Civil Leading Hand / Foreman, you'll be responsible for leading site crews whilst working closely with the Supervisor and Project Management team to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to programme.
Duties will include:
- Leading and supervising civil crews on site
- Coordinating daily activities, plant and allocating tasks
- Bulk excavation and earthworks
- Stormwater, sewer and water infrastructure
- Road construction and upgrades
- Car parks, pavements and associated civil works
- Working alongside operators, labourers and subcontractors
- Reading and interpreting civil plans
- Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
- Liaising with Supervisors and Project Management to ensure works are delivered on schedule
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Civil Leading Hand or Foreman
- Robust experience across bulk earthworks, utilities, roads and/or car parks
- Ability to lead crews and coordinate daily site activities
- Confident reading and working from civil plans
- Strong understanding of civil construction sequencing
- White Card (essential)
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Relevant plant tickets highly regarded
