About Us

Durack Civil is a rapidly growing civil construction contractor delivering projects across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. Our work includes roads, bridges, subdivisions, transport infrastructure and other civil construction projects for government and private sector clients.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team and help drive the next stage of the business.

The Role

Based on the Gold Coast or Brisbane, this role will see you working closely with our management team to prepare accurate and competitive estimates across a range of civil construction projects.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in projects from the tender stage through to handover, while working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and delivery teams.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary or trade qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Experience estimating civil construction projects from first principles.
- Solid knowledge of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
- 6+ years' experience within the civil construction industry.
- Experience with roads, bridges, subdivisions, DTMR,



local government or similar civil infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed first-principles estimates for civil construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes and contract documentation.
- Source and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Develop construction methodologies and tender programmes.
- Prepare non-price tender submission documentation.
- Assist with procurement activities during the pre-contract phase.
- Identify project risks and opportunities during tender preparation.
- Support project teams through tender handover and project delivery.
- Work closely with management to secure new work opportunities.
