There is a moment in eloquent brain tumour surgery where the waveform changes. The neurosurgeon is operating near regions associated with language. Or motor. Or vision. What happens in the next thirty seconds depends on whether the person reading those signals understands what they're looking at, can communicate it clearly, and has the composure to do both simultaneously without being asked.

Are there electrophysiological biomarkers the neurosurgeon isn't familiar with that might help their patient? Introduce the concept. Collect the data. Help us publish the results to help other neurosurgical teams. What we’re looking for

Clinical Applications Consultants are specialist clinical and commercial positions within Neuroclast's multidisciplinary team. The role integrates applied clinical neuroscience, medical device sales and support, and outcomes-focused research, and requires the incumbent to operate with a high degree of skilled autonomy across intraoperative, pre-surgical, therapeutic, and commercial contexts. You will report directly to the Managing Director and contribute to all three strategic pillars of Neuroclast's operations: onco-functional insight in neurosurgery, individually-tailored therapeutic neuromodulation, and contributions towards a new era in functional localisation of the human brain.

What you'll do:

> Pre-surgical brain mapping: motor and language mapping using stereotactic transcranial magnetic stimulation for patients scheduled for supratentorial tumour surgery, integrated with Brainlab Elements and Medtronic Stealth navigation platforms for DTI fiber tracking and intraoperative surgical guidance.

> Intraoperative brain mapping: cortico-subcortical mapping and monitoring of motor, language,



and visual pathways during awake and asleep craniotomies for eloquent glioma surgery, with real-time interpretation and direct communication of findings to the neurosurgical team.

> Stereotactic functional neurosurgery: operative support of the inomed Stereotactic Ultralight System (SUSy) for sEEG, DBS, and related functional neurosurgery procedures.

> Capital equipment and clinical education: product demonstration, trial coordination, and post-sale clinical training across neurosurgical and neurological departments nationally.

> Research and publication: active contribution to Neuroclast's academic pipeline, including data collection, journal club, and peer-reviewed output aligned with a self-nominated capstone research area.

How we’ll get you there:

Our Level 1C Accreditation is the introductory tier of Neuroclast's internal certification standard for autonomous clinical practice in brain mapping, and represents the primary benchmark against which clinical competence is formally assessed within the company. Attainment requires successful completion of four sequential components: a 200-question theoretical examination spanning clinical electrophysiology, bioinstrumentation, anaesthesia, brain mapping techniques, and medicolegal considerations; a written critical appraisal demonstrating scholarly reasoning and evidence-based analysis of a designated topic in functional neuroscience or surgical methodology; a supervised practical assessment across a minimum of three consecutive supratentorial surgical procedures, evaluated on procedure planning, real-time execution, and post-operative documentation, and a simulated communications exam. Attainment of 1C is a prerequisite for independent clinical practice, eligibility for flexible work arrangements, career progression, and the delivery of post-sale clinical training to Neuroclast's institutional customers.

What you’ll need:

We are not primarily looking for someone who has done this before, because almost nobody has. We are looking for someone who would have found their way to us eventually regardless,



because they’re curious about how brain tumours induce reorganisation of language function over years. Or they're curious about clinical electrophysiology at the highest echelon.

A degree in neuroscience, neurophysiology or biomedicine is required. Clinical or research experience is valued. Independent thinking is mandatory. A mild intolerance for how things have always been done in healthcare is considered an asset here, not a liability.

We will equip you with the knowledge and skills to be calm under pressure, a clear communicator and able to work independently in a high-stakes environment. Must be an Australian citizen and hold up to date credentialing requirements (i.e., police check, working with children check, immunisations etc).
