Mindright is an established private practice in Bondi Junction, operating since 2007. Eleven clinicians currently practise from our rooms on Oxford Street, the majority of whom are Clinical Psychologists with area of practice endorsement. We have capacity for an additional clinician to join our team as an independent contractor.

The opportunity

Referrals are received consistently from local general practitioners, psychiatrists and paediatricians, many of whom have referred to the practice for more than a decade. Clinicians joining Mindright can expect to establish a full caseload.

Clinicians retain control over their own diary and set their own fees. Days, hours and session times are determined by the clinician. Intake can also be weighted towards a clinician's preferred presentations.

The practice is preparing to commence group programs for adult ADHD and for persistent low mood and social withdrawal. An interest in group facilitation would be welcome, though it is not a requirement.

Availability for evening or Saturday sessions would also suit the practice, but is likewise not essential.

What the practice provides

Administrative support. Our Practice Manager, Kerry, has been with Mindright for more than fifteen years and manages reception, billing, Medicare rebate processing and diary administration. Hannah provides Saturday coverage. Clinicians are not required to manage billing or accounts.

Established systems.



PracSuite practice management and a Microsoft 365 account with enterprise-grade email security are provided by the practice. HealthLink is in place for sending and receiving referrer correspondence, so GP letters and eReferrals move directly between practices rather than by post or unsecured email.

Collegial support. Several clinicians have practised at Mindright for over ten years. Monthly meetings with the Clinical Director are available to every clinician and can be used for whatever is most useful at the time — discussing a complex presentation, thinking through a clinical direction, or working out something administrative. Colleagues here also consult one another readily, and there is an established culture of shared reading and informal second opinions.

Genuine flexibility. Clinicians are engaged as independent contractors, set their own fees, maintain their own supervision arrangements, and operate their own practice from our rooms.

Selection criteria

- General registration with Ahpra, and either area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology or current enrolment in the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program
- Current professional indemnity insurance or willingness to get
- Completion of a Master or Doctorate of Clinical Psychology
- Demonstrated commitment to validated assessment measures and evidence-based intervention
- A clinical approach that is warm, respectful and engaging
