Role Description The Cloud Engineer at IT LAND TRAINING will design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support training platforms and internal applications. This part-time, remote role involves configuring cloud services, monitoring system performance, and ensuring availability, security, and cost efficiency across environments.
The Cloud
Engineer will collaborate with instructors and technical staff to provision resources for labs, automate deployment processes, and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
Responsibilities also include writing documentation, implementing best practices for backups and disaster recovery, and assisting with continuous improvement of the cloud workplace and DevOps workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong Software Development skills, including scripting or programming for automation and tooling.
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure concepts such as networking, storage, and virtualized environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
- Proficiency with Linux administration, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Databases, including basic design, configuration, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Familiarity with security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Administrator) or equivalent practical experience are a plus.
