As the business continues to invest in growth, operational excellence, and its store portfolio, an opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Commercial Finance Analyst - Operations to join the Finance team.

This role partners closely with senior leaders across Operations and Property, delivering financial analysis, commercial insights, and decision support to enhance business performance and support future investment initiatives.

About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager - Operations, you will provide financial and commercial support across mycar's national operations and property portfolio.

The role is responsible for developing business cases, conducting financial modelling and investment analysis, evaluating commercial performance, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, profitability, and sustainable business growth.

As a key business partner, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Property to influence critical commercial outcomes and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Developing financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives and capital investment decisions.
- Providing commercial advice and financial decision support to Operations and Property leadership teams.
- Analysing store profitability, operational performance, and key business drivers to identify opportunities and risks.
- Supporting property-related investment decisions, including new store evaluations and portfolio performance reviews.
- Managing capital expenditure reporting, forecasting, and investment approval processes.
- Contributing to annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial planning activities.
- Reviewing monthly store performance metrics, including occupancy, labour,



and inventory costs.
- Producing reporting and performance insights to support business planning and decision-making.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements through enhanced reporting, automation, and data governance practices.

About You

You are a commercially astute finance professional with strong analytical capabilities and the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. You combine financial expertise with a practical understanding of business operations and can translate complex data into meaningful commercial insights.

Skills and Experience

- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Minimum five years' experience in Commercial Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;), or Finance Business Partnering.
- Experience supporting retail, property, or multi-site operational environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, business case development, and investment analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Robust budgeting, forecasting, and large-scale data analysis experience.
- Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting platforms.
- Exposure to SAP, TM1, ERP platforms, or lease accounting systems will be advantageous.
