Life in the fast lane

As our Communications Coordinator, you will be joining the Communications team who make up part of the Corporate Affairs and Communications department.

This is a full time position, based at our Head Office in St Kilda for 6-month fixed term contract.

Reporting into the Manager – PR & Communications, this role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of communications, media relations and publicity events, whilst also assisting in managing media centre operations, accreditation and media liaison in the lead up to the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix 2027.

Additionally, you will:

- Assist the Corporate Affairs and Communications team to execute publicity events such as launches, photo opportunities and media announcements and reporting.
- Assist with copy development for a wide variety of communications material including media releases, briefing documents, website and social copy.
- Monitor media enquiries through the media inbox.
- Coordinate operational requirements for media centre
- Support the media accreditation process, including application administration, enquiries and distribution.
- Assist with the management of contractor and service supplies for any media areas, including cleaning, power, TV, audio and photocopiers.
- Set up and assist the running of official press conferences.

What you'll bring to the role:




- Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, public relations or related area, or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- A current Police Check and Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee), or be willing to obtain.
