About the role
We are looking for a reliable, energetic and hands-on Cook to join our roadhouse kitchen. The role involves preparing and serving classic pub-style meals in a busy outback setting.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking pub-style meals, including schnitzels, burgers, steaks and fish
- Taking charge and delivering without constant direction/supervision
- Delivery of functions up to 50 people
- Stock rotation
- Construct menus
- Working within budget
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, including deep cleaning of fridges and freezers
- Lead and train kitchen hand staff
About you
- Have good English communication skills
- Have a minimum of 12 months kitchen experience as a cook
- Be reliable, energetic and willing to work as part of a close-knit team
- Be capable of active, hands-on duties, including lifting up to 20 kg
- Bring a positive attitude
- Be ready to relocate to the Northern Territory
