Colony Group is a leading strategic, creative agency with offices in Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Port Moresby, Suva and Sydney. We are growing and looking to hire a Copywriter for our Brisbane office.
The Copywriter will craft clear, compelling, and persuasive written content across a range of marketing channels, including advertising, social media and websites. Working closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, and our Account Service, Production and Social teams, you will translate client objectives into creative concepts and copy that resonate with target audiences.
The role involves understanding the client’s objectives, audience insights, and campaign goals to generate ideas with clarity and impact, ensuring consistency across all communications.
The Ideal Copywriter
- Will write clear, persuasive and original copy.
- Has high level conceptual thinking and idea generation.
- Knowledge of client’s brand and overall strategy.
- Can work on several projects at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Amend and revise copy according to feedback from Creative Director or clients.
- Solid editing, and proofreading skills.
- Understanding of marketing, branding, and advertising principles.
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms and their content requirements.
- Knowledge of SEO, content strategy, and basic UX writing principles is a plus.
- Has at least 4 years’ experience at a leading advertising or design agency.
- Ability to craft compelling narratives aligned with brand voice and client objectives.
- Understanding of consumer insights and how to translate them into persuasive messaging.
- Experience meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- And finally, can work in our Brisbane office 3 days week, with the other 2 days WFH.
