The team advises founders, private investors and growth-stage businesses on sophisticated transactions and strategic commercial matters, offering lawyers direct client access and genuine long-term career opportunities.
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Associate to join a growing Corporate team with a strong focus on M&A;, capital raising and corporate advisory work. Working closely with an experienced Partner, you will play a key role in managing transactions, developing client relationships and contributing to the growth of a thriving practice.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing strategic corporate and commercial advice to founders, investors and privately owned businesses across a range of industries
- Leading private M&A; transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, business sales and strategic investments
- Advising clients on capital raising transactions, shareholder arrangements, governance matters and corporate restructures
- Managing complex transactions from commencement through to completion, including due diligence, negotiations and drafting key transaction documentation
- Working on domestic and cross-border transactions alongside interstate and international advisers; and
- Supporting client relationship management, business development initiatives and the ongoing expansion of the practice.
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years' PAE in Corporate law, M&A; and/or Capital Markets gained within a reputable private practice environment.
- Strong experience managing private M&A; transactions and corporate advisory matters with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills.
- A strong commercial mindset and the confidence to engage directly with investors, founders and senior business stakeholders.
- An interest in business development and a desire to build long-term client relationships.
- A genuine ambition to progress towards senior leadership and partnership.
