Responsibilities

About the Role

Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient charging of development and production headings while ensuring all blasting activities are executed in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements.

Your Responsibilities

- Charge development and production headings safely and efficiently.
- Load and handle explosives in accordance with site standards and legislation.
- Conduct blast preparation activities and quality checks.
- Perform pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of charging activities.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, risk management, and hazard identification.
- Work collaboratively with underground crews to achieve production targets.




- Adhere to all underground mining procedures and operational requirements.

Qualifications

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Previous underground Charge Up or Shotfirer experience.
- Current Shotfirer's Licence or ability to obtain one.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Experience working within underground metalliferous mining operations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen.
