Defects Foreman – Class 2 Residential North Sydney | 6-Month Contract | Immediate Start
We are seeking an experienced Defects Foreman to join our team on a quality Class 2 residential development in North Sydney.
This is a hands-on position for an experienced Foreman who takes pride in quality, presentation and delivering a smooth project completion and handover to end clients.
About the Role You will be responsible for managing the defects and completion phase of the project, including:
- Managing and closing out defects across apartments and common areas
- Coordinating subcontractors and finishing trades
- Inspecting completed works and ensuring a high standard of finish
- Maintaining defect lists and driving items through to completion
- Assisting with final inspections and client handover
- Supporting end clients during the move-in period
- Attending to and coordinating minor defects and issues following handover
- Liaising professionally with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the project team
- Ensuring the site is clean, safe and well presented
About You The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Defects Foreman or Foreman on Class 2/apartment projects
- Strong knowledge of residential construction and finishing trades
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Strong subcontractor and trade coordination skills
- A skilled and approachable manner when dealing with end clients
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- White Card and relevant construction experience
