DEI Specialist People and Culture | Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Melbourne | Contract, six months with genuine extension potential | $575 to $650 per day plus super (equivalent to $130,000 to $150,000 plus super)

A large scale operator with a unionised, volume blue collar workforce is bringing in a DEI Specialist to deliver on existing gender equity and reporting commitments. This is a hands on, contributor level role with real scope from day one.

The business operates in a highly regulated, structured workplace, with a small internal People function that works closely with embedded business partners across the organisation.

The Role

- Owns delivery of gender equity programs across a male dominated workforce
- Leads DEI metrics collation, analysis, and reporting, including WGEA style reporting
- Reports internally and externally against existing strategic commitments
- Partners with People business partners and employee network groups
- Manages relationships with external DEI providers on assigned initiatives
- Works within a small, close knit team with genuine autonomy





Background Required

- Direct experience delivering WGEA or equivalent gender equity reporting
- Comfortable operating as a sole contributor with limited internal support
- Experience in a highly regulated, highly unionised, or complex operational environment
- Confident translating DEI value into commercial, business facing terms
