Role Description The Desktop Support Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Brisbane, QLD. This role is responsible for providing end-user support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and related peripherals, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, performing routine troubleshooting, and escalating complex problems when required.

Engineer will collaborate with service desk and field support teams, maintain asset records, and ensure adherence to company policies and service level agreements. The role also involves communicating clearly with users, documenting solutions, and contributing to continuous improvement of support processes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Desktop Computers and Computer Hardware, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Technical Support and Troubleshooting for end-user devices, operating systems, and common business applications.
- Experience with Printer Support, including setup, network configuration, and resolving print-related issues.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts, basic networking, and peripheral device connectivity.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support users at different technical levels.
- Ability to work in office in Brisbane, QLD, manage priorities, and meet service level targets.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL) or equivalent practical experience are beneficial.
- Previous experience in desktop or field support within enterprise or managed services environments is an advantage.
