About us

Paediatric Allied Health supports children and families across Central Queensland through hospital, community, outreach and Child Development services.

Our multidisciplinary team works together across Physio, OT, Speech, Psychology, Social Work, Audiology, Dietetics and more to support children with developmental, disability and rehabilitation needs.

The Child Development Service supports children aged 0–8 years, providing assessment, early intervention and coordinated support for children and families.

About the role

- Lead paediatric Allied Health across CQHHS –
- Provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across acute, outpatient, community, outreach and Child Development services.
- ?
- Build a high-performing workforce –
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, capability development, performance and succession planning while fostering a psychologically safe and inclusive team culture.
- ?
- Drive innovation and service improvement –
- Shape sustainable services, champion continuous improvement and lead initiatives that improve outcomes for children and families.
- ?
- Provide expert clinical and governance leadership –
- Guide complex clinical decision-making, uphold professional and regulatory standards, manage risk and promote evidence-based practice and research.
- ?
- Influence through partnerships and collaboration –
- Build strong relationships across CQHHS, government, community, private and tertiary sectors, providing expert advice and representing Paediatric Allied Health at local, state and national levels.

About you
- ?
- Relevant Allied Health qualification –
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health profession, including Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work and/or Speech Pathology.
- Bring advanced clinical knowledge and the ability to provide authoritative advice, navigate complex challenges and promote culturally safe, equitable and contemporary care.




- Demonstrate experience managing large, diverse multidisciplinary teams, building a high-performing culture and applying effective workforce and HR practices.
- Have a proven track record of driving large-scale improvement, embedding evidence-based practice and developing services, policies and processes that improve outcomes and manage risk.

What we offer Total remuneration value of up to $190,788 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $81.47 - $84.33 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
