About the role

At Auslife Care, the Support Worker plays a critical role in promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life by delivering person-centred care tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. This position involves working in a variety of settings including clients' homes, residential care facilities, or supported living environments. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and other support staff to provide holistic care and emotional support to individuals who require support due to disability or mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

- Help clients with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, household cleaning, shopping, managing medication, and attending appointments

- Encourage clients to participate in daily routines and community activities, empowering them to make choices and maintain control over their lives





- Provide companionship and emotional reassurance, building trusting relationships with clients to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being

- Observe and document changes in clients' physical or emotional condition and promptly report any concerns to supervisors or medical professionals

- Ensure the safety and protection of clients by adhering to safeguarding policies and maintaining strict confidentiality at all times

- Assist with personal care, household tasks, medication assistance and community involvement

- Qualified Support Worker

- Natural ability to connect with people and offer comfort in challenging moments

- Living in Clyde North or surrounding areas
