Electrical Engineer Melbourne | Building Services | 3+ Years Experience

I'm working with an established building services consultancy in Melbourne looking to add an intermediate Electrical Engineer to the team. It's a good opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work in a smaller, nimble team where you'll get plenty of exposure to projects, clients and senior engineers.

The work is a mix of commercial fitout, refurbishment and new-build projects across Melbourne, with projects moving at a good pace and plenty of variety.

This isn't a role where you'll spend the next three years working on one package of a monster project and never see the end of it.

You'll get involved across the project lifecycle, work closely with clients, architects and other consultants, attend meetings and gradually take on more responsibility as your experience grows.

The role You'll be involved in:

- Electrical building services design across power, lighting, communications and associated systems
- Commercial fitout, refurbishment and new-build projects
- Design calculations, documentation and specifications
- Coordination with other building services disciplines
- Client and project meetings
- Construction stage support and site involvement




- Managing smaller pieces of work independently as you develop

About you You don't need to know everything yet. That's the point of an intermediate role.

Ideally you'll have

- 3+ years' experience in electrical building services
- Experience within an Australian engineering consultancy
- A solid base across electrical design and documentation
- Good communication skills and the confidence to deal with clients
- A genuine interest in developing beyond purely technical delivery
