About the role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Estimator with approximately 5-6 years’ experience ready to take the next step in their career, with a explicit pathway to becoming a Senior Estimator. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role presents an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects while taking greater ownership of the end-to-end tender process.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and contract requirements
- Determining project scope and preparing detailed trade scopes and tender packages
- Completing take-offs, Bills of Quantities, budgets and cost estimates
- Sourcing and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Preparing trade comparisons and negotiating to achieve the best value
- Identifying documentation gaps, risks, cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions
- Preparing and submitting accurate tenders within required timeframes
- Responding to post-tender clarifications and supporting tender negotiations
- Completing a thorough handover to Project Managers and Contract Administrators

About you

You will bring excellent attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive tenders within required timeframes.

You'll also bring





- 5-6 years’ estimating experience within the commercial construction, fit-out or refurbishment sector
- Sound knowledge of construction methodology, trade packages and tender processes
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Proven ability to manage competing tenders and meet deadlines
- Sound working knowledge of Excel, Word and estimating or project management systems
- Proven ability to work with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
- Relevant qualifications in building, construction, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline
