About Us
MTA WA is the peak body representing the Western Australian motor industry. With a proud history and a strong future focus, we support automotive businesses through advocacy, membership services, training, apprentice employment, and industry leadership.
The Opportunity
You'll run MTA WA's event calendar end to end - from small committee sessions to our flagship Awards Program and Gala Dinner - with real ownership over how each event looks, runs and lands. Alongside that, you'll carry reliable weight in media and PR: writing releases, building media relationships and shaping how MTA WA shows up publicly. It's a hands-on role for someone who wants to own events properly, and have a genuine hand in the organisation's public voice.
What You'll Do:
Events
Own MTA WA's full event calendar - the Awards Program, Gala Dinner, member networking events, industry forums, committee events, graduations and business briefings. Design the format and experience for each one, manage registrations and enquiries, source and manage venues and suppliers, support sponsor and partner activations on the day, and own the budget and logistics through to delivery.
Media & PR
Write and coordinate media releases, statements and key messages.
Support development of white papers and think pieces. Identify opportunities to raise MTA WA's profile, deliver media monitoring and reporting on coverage, reach and sentiment, manage agency relationships, and act as first point of contact for media enquiries.
Content & Brand
Create original content across web, email and social, tailored to different audiences. Shape the content calendar, design branded materials, and keep MTA WA's brand consistent across every channel.
Member Comms & Analytics
Run member newsletters and EDMs. Use reporting and dashboards to turn campaign and event data into insight, and help keep CRM data clean and well-segmented.
What You'll Bring
- A strong track record owning events end to end - design, logistics, suppliers, sponsors, budgets
- A strong track record in media and PR - writing releases and key messages, building relationships with media, securing coverage and growing profile
- Content skills across formats and channels
- Experience with analytics - reporting, dashboards, data into action
- A sharp eye for brand and design consistency
- Self-directed, organised, comfortable owning competing priorities
