Riverside Recruitment was founded in 2023 on a kitchen table with a laptop and a fold-up chair. Quick forward to now, we have one Director (Christine Foggiato) and two permanent full-time staff.
We all work from home and plan to keep it that way. A lot of what we do is via Teams and when we are needed by our clients, we visit them onsite.
Most recruitment agencies grow their revenue by hiring more recruiters. But we have chosen to do things differently. Rather than hire more recruiters, we have built out a team under one recruiter to assist with candidate sourcing, marketing and administration.
Due to continued growth, we are now looking to hire a part-time staff member to assist with administration tasks, phone calls and general business operations.
About the role
We have a long list of tasks that need to be completed to keep our boutique recruitment agency running smoothly. We have considered using AI for these tasks, but we want a human touch. We have considered having these tasks completed offshore, but we would love to explore our local talent first.
- Candidate check in calls
- You will be the person who calls candidates to wish them good luck on their first day in a new role! You will check in with them at various times during their first 12 months
- We often have multiple candidates putting in an expression of interest to Riverside Recruitment, you will call them to book them in for a discovery call with our Director
- Arranging client and candidate interviews
- We usually have 10-20 candidates out on interview with our clients at any one time, and we often need help getting these interviews locked in with confirmation emails
- Keeping our clients informed
- Do you know much about recruitment? If you do, you probably know that recruiters either work in a candidate short or a candidate heavy market. Our market is incredibly candidate short.
That means we have hundreds of jobs (literally) and we struggle to keep our clients updated with how sourcing is going. You will manage our job board ensuring the marketing team is actively marketing roles, you will check in with our clients via email to see if roles are still open and if we should still be sourcing for them
- Celebrating our clients and candidates
- What is better than sending gifts! Nothing. You will arrange Christmas hampers for our clients, write them cards and send a congratulations hamper to placed candidates.
- Work closely with marketing
- We have a dedicated marketing person but sometimes they get busy with marketing strategy. Acting as a marketing coordinator, you will create job posts on Canva (don't worry, we will help you write the content!) and other marketing materials for our LinkedIn and Instagram page
- Other adhoc duties
- Recruitment changes day to day. Our client demands change and priorities can change - we may throw a task at you that you haven’t done before and expect you to use your initiative to figure out the best way forward
Who we are looking to hire You’ll probably love this role if you enjoy being the person behind the scenes who keeps everything organised, likes talking to people, notices when something has been forgotten and gets satisfaction from ticking things off.
Whilst this is a remote role, it is important you live in South East Queensland as we will hold face to face team meetings once per month. Please note,
any applications from outside of South East Queensland will not be considered.
Ideally, we would like to hire someone who has worked in a recruitment agency before but are open to considering candidates from the real estate industry. We don't mind if you worked in administration, resourcing or as a recruiter, we would love to hear from you.
Riverside Recruitment have implemented many modern AI and automation tools however, we choose to do many things manually the old fashioned way. We don't use AI for creating content, for any task that would take less than 5-10 minutes or for recording sensitive client and candidate calls.
One of the most important skills you must have is time management and the ability to prioritise and reprioritise tasks. Some days you will be juggling conflicting priorities, so you need to be comfortable deciding what needs to happen now, what can wait and when to ask for help.
The logistics of the role
- 99% work from home (Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast). We would love to meet you for lunch once a month or invite you along to client meetings occasionally
- You will need a dedicated home office including a monitor, ergonomic desk set up and headphones. We will provide a laptop
- You will have your own phone number via Teams but occasionally we may message you directly on your mobile
- 16-20 hours per week.
- Our proposed hours are 9am - 2pm, three to four days per week
- $75,000 - $85,000 + superannuation (full-time equivalent)
Your application will be treated with the strictest confidentiality. If you would like some more information about the role prior to applying, please contact Christine Foggiato:
[email protected] with a brief overview of your experience and we will send you a link to book in a quick 5 minute call.
