Join Our Team at Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our busy Bar & Bistro Kitchen. This is an excellent chance for a confident all-rounder who can run services, support the Head Chef, and deliver exceptional food across our Bistro and Functions operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Rund all kitchen sections including grill, pans, larder, fryer, pizza, wok and functions
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Assist with menu development, stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Train and support junior kitchen staff
- Deliver consistent service for bistro dining, functions and events

About You

- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery/Diploma preferable
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy restaurant, hotel, club or function venue




- Proven experience working across all kitchen sections
- Solid leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Sound knowledge of food safety, stock control, and kitchen operations
- Reliable, professional, and passionate about quality food
