About the role

Transit Rooftop is a modern rooftop cocktail bar delivering sky-high views above Fed Square. We are looking for experienced Cocktail Bartenders and Waitstaff who take genuine pride in their work — people who show up ready, look after the guest, and make the team around them better.

Key responsibilities

Cocktail Bartenders:

- Prepare all drinks to exact recipe specifications — technique, measure, temperature, and presentation
- Engage every guest at the bar with genuine warmth and attention from first acknowledgement to farewell
- Apply RSA obligations confidently and consistently on every shift
- Manage the pace of the bar — table drink orders and walk-in trade simultaneously, without quality slipping
- Maintain your station in impeccable condition from opening to close
- Support the Barbacks proactively and treat them as an essential part of the team

Waitstaff:

- Deliver the full sequence of service to a consistently high standard, every shift
- Take orders accurately with full knowledge of the menu — food, beverage, allergens, and pairings
- Make genuine, informed recommendations rather than reading from a list
- Upsell naturally
- Maintain your section, table settings, and service station throughout service
- Support colleagues when they need it, without being asked

About you

- Genuine experience in a quality,



busy restaurant or bar environment
- A real work ethic — you are reliable, well-presented, and ready for every shift
- Warmth with guests and professionalism with colleagues
- The ability to hold your standard when the service is at its most demanding
- A current RSA certificate, or the ability to obtain one before starting
- Full working rights in Australia
- Evening and weekend availability — late-night Friday & Saturday, 7-night venue and the roster reflects that
