- Role Description The External Auditor role is a contract position based in Baulkham Hills, NSW with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site work at client locations and the office with some work from home oppo

rtunity. The External Auditor will perform audit planning, fieldwork, and testing of internal controls and financial statements for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards. Daily responsibilities include reviewing documentation, assessing risks, preparing work papers, and drafting clear, accurate audit reports and recommendations. You will report directly to the audit manager.





The role involves liaising with clients to obtain information, explain audit findings, and support them in improving financial processes and controls, while collaborating closely with internal team members to deliver high-quality audit outcomes.

Qualifications

- Solid technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Financial analysis and risk assessment capabilities, with attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction, reporting, and teamwork.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Proficiency with audit and accounting software, as well as general office and spreadsheet tools.

Caseware

Online (Agile) experience is an advantage.

- Experience in external audit within public practice or a similar professional services environment is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting, maintaining professionalism in client-facing situations.
