About the role The Facility Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the planning and installation of all maintenance and repairs projects, with a solid understanding of plumbing, electrical and carpentry systems along with general overall trade knowledge. The role will also be responsible for creating and managing long-term, trusting relationships with assigned clients, developing current business from existing clients and actively seeking new sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, develop and oversee all maintenance and repair procedures and ensure implementation/installation

- Design and implement programs for effective maintenance operations

- Hire and train maintenance employees and subcontractors to carry out specialized duties as required

- Manage relationships and allocate workload with all casual staff, subcontractors and service providers

- Perform regular periodic maintenance and routine calibration of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems

- Manage the process of disposal of worn-out/damaged machinery as well as the installation of new equipment





- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary to ensure availability of required resources

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance operations and provide reports to senior management of all activities

- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas

- Ensure adherence to health/safety procedures and policies at all sites and jobs in accordance with NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011

About you

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance and facility management role

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Computer packages

- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems

- People management and leadership skills to direct and coordinate the activities of a maintenance team

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of clients

- Problem-solving skills for resolving customer complaints and needs

- Unrestricted NSW Drivers' License

- Working with Children's Check

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
