The firms are not the same shop with four letterheads. One is a Doyle’s-recognised specialist opening in Brisbane. Others are award-winning full-service practices with established family teams.

Some want a lawyer who already runs the file.

Some want a solid 2–4 year lawyer they can grow.

The work:

- Private-client family law: parenting, property, financial agreements, divorce, and court when the matter will not settle
- Files you can own, with support that matches the firm — tight specialist teams in some seats, broader full-service infrastructure in others
- Client conferences, FDR, drafting, negotiations and appearances in the Federal Circuit and Family Court





Hybrid and in-office mix differs by firm. Say what you need. Who should apply?

You have family law experience in Australia — typically 2 to 10 years PQE, though a sharper or heavier CV will still be read. You can take a parenting or property matter from first conference to a consent order or a hearing. You write in English a client can use.
