We are looking for a Site Manager for a High-Rise project in Sydney for a builder who have a very robust pipeline of work.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a significant project for a very valued repeat client.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Plan and schedule works, ensuring coordination between various tasks and timelines within the project.
- Subcontractor Coordination and Communication: Facilitate communication and alignment with subcontractors, ensuring the transparent exchange of project specifications and prompt responses to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Engage and coordinate with clients, superintendents, consultants and various stakeholders to ensure project progress, address concerns and relay essential project updates.
- Adherence to Project Specifications and Drawings: Ensure on-site activities align with project specifications and drawings, maintaining adherence to contractual requirements and quality standards.
- Subcontractor Coordination and Progress Reporting: Manage and coordinate subcontractor and trade contractor activities, ensuring they align with project goals and oversee the accurate placement of construction components.
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Compliance Oversight: Oversee compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards, conducting toolbox talks and managing on-site safety practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Industrial Relations Management: Manage all Industrial Relations matters,
staying updated on legislation and promptly communicating issues to relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence to labour laws.
- Quality: Maintain project quality levels, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and quality expectations.
- Site Administration Oversight: Supervise and manage all site administration activities, ensuring the accuracy, organization and up-to-date maintenance of project documentation.
- Coordination and Documentation Processing: Facilitate efficient coordination among site staff, ensuring the prompt and accurate processing of necessary paperwork.
What they are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Site Manager role ideally with some high rise experience of 10 levels and above
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects within the fringe of the CBD with a focus on safety, quality and on-time delivery.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, regulatory authorities and local communities.
- Extensive experience in HSE compliance, risk management and industrial relations within construction.
- Hands-on experience in managing construction projects in complex environments, such as urban areas, occupied spaces, or projects with intricate architectural designs.
