Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Workers with psychosocial experience to support one of our Participant’s in Wanneroo.
Our Participant is a middle-aged female who is social and enjoys outings, cooking and arts/crafts. To be considered you will need to be experienced and have explicit communication.
We are looking to grow a consistent team and have both day and overnight shifts available.
Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification at Certificate III level in one of the following: Mental Health, Mental Health Peer Work, Community Services, Disability, Aged Care/HACC or Allied Health Assistant (or working towards).
- Current First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate Medication Competency, NDIS Orientation Modules, Infection Control Certificate, Manual Handling Certificate (or provision of receipts for renewals)
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle, and a current and valid driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with and relate well to people we support and their families, especially those with diverse communication styles and needs
- Knowledge of local community networks and a demonstrated commitment to ensuring the community has a positive image of people with disabilities and mental health issues
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others as part of a team and contribute to team goals
