As a Field Operations Supervisor, you'll help lead a skilled and dedicated team delivering a wide range of forest and fire management activities across public land. From fire prevention, biodiversity and road maintenance to recreation management and emergency response preparedness, you'll play a key role in keeping our forests, communities and natural environments safe.

This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, field operations and emergency management. You'll be part of a supportive team environment, receive ongoing training and development opportunities, and contribute to bushfire preparedness, planned burning and emergency response activities throughout Victoria.

Applicants must hold a current manual Drivers Licence (conditions A, I & V not acceptable for employment).

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- Expertise in managing works programs in one of more of the following: planned burning, unsealed road management or other operational forest management activities including experience in management of staff.
- Experience and understanding of forest firefighting techniques, the Australasian Interagency Incident Management System and other emergency response activities.

This position is ongoing, available in the regional location of Horsham, Victoria. You’ll have the chance to explore and protect stunning landscapes whilst earning a market-competitive salary ranging from $82,907 to $90,576 per annum, plus superannuation.

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to achieve a competent result in the DEECA General Firefighter accreditation.
