Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Box Hill, VIC, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and reporting activities for HEXA GROUP. This position manages the preparation and review of financial statements, maintains accurate accounting records, and ensures compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
The Financial
Controller will monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, provide analysis to support strategic decision-making, and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. The role includes supervising finance and accounting processes, coordinating with external auditors and advisors, and implementing controls and systems to enhance financial efficiency and integrity.

Controller will also collaborate closely with senior leadership and project teams to support the financial aspects of property development initiatives, more detailed job descriptions will be provided upon request.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Accounting and Finance,
including experience managing general ledgers and budgeting processes.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with proven ability to prepare, review, and interpret complex financial documents.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to perform variance analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with financial systems and tools, such as accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior finance or controller role, preferably within property development, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to implement and maintain robust financial controls.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
A five-month Probationary Period will apply to this role. During this time, you will receive advice, training and guidance to help you become familiar with, and competent in, performing the work you have been appointed to do. The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of the Probationary Period which itself is subject to mutual termination during any stage, by either party, upon (one week’s notice in writing), or by payment in lieu of notice.
