Job Purpose The Finance Director APAC is a key member of the regional leadership team, responsible for defining and delivering the financial strategy across the Asia-Pacific region in alignment with A-Gas global business objectives. Reporting to the Managing Director APAC (with a dotted line into the Group Chief Financial Officer) and operating as part of the global finance leadership team, the role provides strategic financial leadership, commercial partnership, and governance oversight across multiple countries and business operations within the region.

The role leads financial planning, performance management, forecasting, and control activities to support profitable growth, operational excellence, and effective decision-making. Acting as the primary finance business partner to the APAC Managing Director and regional leadership team, the Finance Director APAC drives financial insight, supports strategic initiatives including transformation and M&A; activity, and ensures robust compliance, risk management, and fiscal governance across all APAC entities.

Through strong leadership of local finance teams, the Finance Director APAC fosters a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, capability development, and alignment with A-Gas global standards and long-term growth ambitions.

Managing Director APAC with a dotted line into the Group Chief Financial Officer

Based at an APAC site with regular regional travel

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

Ideal Experience

- Membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience, including significant experience in a senior regional finance leadership role within a complex multinational environment.




- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior commercial and operational leaders across diverse markets, with strong understanding of the financial, regulatory, and commercial dynamics of the APAC region.
- Experience leading finance activities across multiple countries within Asia-Pacific, including oversight of local finance teams, statutory compliance, taxation, governance, and reporting requirements across varying jurisdictions.
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, gases, or related sectors would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting business transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, process standardisation, finance optimisation, and integration activities associated with acquisitions or organisational change.
- Strong stakeholder management capability, including experience working with external auditors, tax advisers, banking partners, and regulatory authorities across the APAC region.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire finance teams across geographically dispersed locations and cultures.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the APAC region as required.
