Fundraising Officer - Part-Time/or Contract The Shaka Project The Shaka Project is a purpose-driven Suicide Prevention Charity focused on creating meaningful social impact through community-led prevention workshops and programs. Since 2019, The Shaka has delivered over 800 Free Suicide Prevention workshops to Schools, Sporting Clubs, Worksites, and community organisations all over Australia

We are seeking a passionate, organised, and relationship-driven Fundraising Officer to help grow our funding base, strengthen supporter engagement and help create further opportunities to reach communities that need it the most.

Fundraising Officer

This isn't your typical fundraising role. You'll be at the heart of our growth, bringing people together, creating exciting fundraising initiatives, and building partnerships that fuel our mission. From securing grants and sponsorships to engaging community champions, fundraisers, donors, businesses, and supporters, you'll help unlock the resources that allow our programs to thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

- Finding and pursuing new fundraising, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
- Building genuine relationships with businesses, donors, and community supporters.




- Assisting with grant applications, sponsorship proposals, and funding submissions.
- Supporting fundraising campaigns, events, and community initiatives.
- Helping tell the story of The Shaka Project and the impact we create.
- Working closely with our leadership team to achieve fundraising goals and grow our network.

What We're Looking For
- A people person who enjoys networking and building relationships.
- Someone who is proactive, confident, and willing to think creatively.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, business development, marketing, community engagement, or a similar role.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for making a difference and contributing to something meaningful.
- Grant writing or sponsorship experience is a bonus but not essential.

The Details

- Part-Time (15–30 hours per week)
- Adaptable working arrangements
- Hybrid/Remote with occasional meetings and events
- Reports to the Founder/Executive Director
