About the role

We are seeking a General Factory Hand to join our production team at our Crestmead facility, starting as a casual role that will convert to full-time after a probation period. This hands-on manufacturing role is vital to our assembly and process operations. As a General Factory Hand, you will support the production of quality seating products through various assembly and process work activities.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in the assembly of automotive seats, following detailed work instructions and specifications.
- Perform various assembly tasks using hand tools and machinery as required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organised work area and follow health and safety protocols.
- Support the efficient movement of materials and components throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on production processes.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and safety regulations at all times.




- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff to support manufacturing operations.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in automotive or seat manufacturing
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and technical specifications accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Competency in using hand tools and basic machinery safely and effectively
- Physical capability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying materials
- Reliability and consistency in meeting production schedules and targets
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn current skills and adapt to different production processes
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Desirable: Experience with automotive components or familiarity with quality control processes
