Company Description Health Zone Barwell Medical Centre is a trusted, family-focused general practice located in the heart of Castle Hill, NSW. The centre is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care using a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment. A multidisciplinary team of GPs and allied health professionals delivers a wide range of services, including general consultations, immunisations, minor procedures, occupational health, travel medicine, and chronic disease management.

Open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the practice offers accessible and convenient care supported by onsite pathology, pharmacy, radiology, and allied health services. Bulk billing is available for eligible patients, including children under 16, seniors over 65, and concession card holders.

Role Description This part-time on-site role for a General Practitioner is based at Health Zone Barwell Medical Centre in Castle Hill, NSW.

The General

Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care, including history-taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions for individuals and families. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting investigations, performing minor procedures, and coordinating care with allied health providers. The role involves preventive health activities such as immunisations, health assessments,



and chronic disease reviews, as well as participation in quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.

The General

Practitioner will also contribute to a collaborative, respectful team environment and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with regulatory and practice standards.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in Medicine and Primary Care, with experience managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions in a community setting.
- Skills and experience in Family Medicine, providing holistic, continuity-of-care to individuals and families across all life stages.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, team-based care.
- Commitment to ongoing Training and professional development, including keeping clinical knowledge current with evidence-based guidelines.
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and current registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner; and FRACGP or FARGP or FACRRM Degree.
- Sound knowledge of Australian primary care standards, Medicare billing, and relevant clinical software systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy, cultural sensitivity, and patient education.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work safely and effectively in a busy, multidisciplinary practice setting.
