NEN Consulting is looking for a Graduate Electrical CAD Designer to join our Melbourne CBD team — with a genuine pathway into our Public Lighting Design specialism.

The opportunityYou'll join our Public Lighting Design team, producing CAD drawings and supporting senior designers across electrical and infrastructure projects including large electrical infrastructure projects such as data centres and transport, plus lighting design for streets, parks and public spaces. From the get-go, we'll train you in public lighting design too: lighting calculations, DIALux modelling,



site audits and AS1158 standards. No prior lighting experience required.

You'll report to our Public Lighting Design Line Manager, working closely with our Electrical Engineering Team.

What you'll be doing• CAD drawings for preliminary and construction design (electrical and public lighting)

- Lighting calculations and modelling (training provided)
- Site assessments and lighting audits as you progress
- Applying design standards across electrical and lighting projects
- Supporting client and contractor liaison, reports and proposals

What you'll bring• Cert IV or higher, preferably in Electrical Engineering (or working towards one) — or a qualified Electrician looking to move into an office-based design role

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and confidence in Excel/Office
- A customer-centric, analytical and technical problem-solver
- Resilient, adaptable and able to think on your feet in a complex delivery environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
