Sales Consultant / Senior Sales Consultant

Location: Chatswood (training) → Chatswood or Annandale ⏰ Hours: Tue-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm, Sat 9:00am-4:00pm Salary: $65,000-$75,000

Love music? Join a vibrant, family-owned specialist retailer with over 30 years of experience in orchestral stringed instruments — violins, violas, cellos, double basses, and classical guitars! This is a full time, career-path role where you'll help musicians of every level find their perfect instrument.

The Opportunity
You'll work alongside a passionate team of musicians, music teachers, and violin makers, assisting everyone from complete beginners to professional musicians. You'll spend 6-12 months training in Chatswood before moving to either our Chatswood or Annandale store (preferences may be accommodated).

️ What You'll Be Doing

- Learning our extensive product range — fine instruments, student instruments, bows, accessories, cases, and sheet music
- Helping customers purchase and rent instruments for all skill levels
- Providing personalised product recommendations and honest, practical advice
- Managing customer enquiries and appointments professionally
- Processing sales and rental transactions accurately
- ️ Maintaining showroom presentation and merchandising standards
- ❤️ Building lasting relationships with customers, teachers, schools, and music communities
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture

✅ About You





- ️ Experience in retail sales or customer service
- A genuine passion for music and interest in orchestral string instruments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ‍‍ Confidence working with a diverse range of customers — kids, parents, teachers, and pros
- A friendly, professional, customer-focused approach
- ✍️ Strong reading, writing, and organisational skills
- Moderate computer skills (training provided)
- ⏱️ Excellent punctuality, reliability, and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and show initiative
- Great teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Permission to work in Australia

Nice-to-Haves

- Experience in premium or consultative sales (fine art, luxury retail, boutique electronics, instruments, etc.)
- A tertiary qualification in music, education, fine arts, business, or related field
- Ability to play an orchestral string instrument
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, or Japanese
