Selection Criteria

Role

An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This role is to ensure the College grounds are clean, safe and inviting for the College Community.

Responsibilities

- Pick up rubbish from school grounds
- Maintain concreate paths including removal of gum
- Empty bins manually at collection point.
- Wear protective gear, navigate school grounds safely, and follow local environmental regulation

Job Requirements:

- Ability to walk extensive school grounds, lift heavy bins, and work outdoors in varied weather.
- Strong time-management skills to complete cleaning routines before students arrive or during recess breaks.
- Assist grounds team when required
- Working hours 11am to 4pm (negotiable) Monday to Friday.
- To identify potential health/safety issues and report to the College administration.

Location Profile

Cranbourne West Secondary College abuts rapidly growing residential areas in the suburb of Cranbourne. The school will work in partnership with the community to provide authentic learning opportunities and best academic and personal outcomes for all students. Cranbourne West Secondary College in the rapidly growing suburb of Cranbourne opening in January 2021 with 198 Year 7 enrolments.



Currently the College has 2000 students across Year 7 to Year 12. Neighbouring schools are relatively large and Cranbourne West Secondary College is expected to grow quickly to meet residents¿ demand for excellence in education, consistent with the vision for the Education State. Cranbourne West Secondary College will provide students with state of the art facilities in STEM, Visual Arts, Physical Education and Performing Arts spaces to cater for the learning needs of all students.
