Full time | 9-Day Fortnight | Site Based The Role
Join the Town of Port Hedland's high-performing workshop team as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic and play a key role in keeping our modern fleet of heavy plant, trucks, light vehicles and specialised equipment operating at its best.
Diagnosing, servicing and repairing heavy diesel and light vehicles.
- Performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs both in the workshop and in the field.
- Troubleshooting faults and delivering practical, effective solutions.
- Planning and executing maintenance activities to maximise fleet reliability and availability.
- Contributing technical expertise to fleet planning, operational budgets and the Plant Replacement Program.
- Working alongside a skilled and supportive team committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
For further information, please view the attached position description. Work Related Requirements The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Previous experience in a Heavy Diesel Mechanic role
- Trade certificate of Heavy Mechanical/ Mechanical Engineering (AUS/NZ Recognised)
- HR class manual driver's license
- Rights to work in Australia
- White Card
