Reporting directly to the COO, this newly elevated leadership position will drive the strategic direction of the Group's Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring excellence across quality, safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement.

Your new role:

Quality Strategy & Governance

- Develop and drive the Group IMS strategy.
- Establish consistent quality, safety and environmental standards.
- Promote compliance, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Report performance and risks to senior leadership.

Quality Systems & Compliance

- Lead and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensure compliance with ISO, customer and regulatory requirements.
- Manage audits, certifications and accreditations.
- Oversee document control and governance.

Operational Excellence

- Improve efficiency, quality, safety and environmental performance.
- Lead investigations, corrective actions and risk reduction initiatives.
- Drive standardisation and continuous improvement.
- Manage significant incidents and escalations.

Customer & Supplier Quality

- Enhance customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.
- Resolve major quality issues and complaints.
- Improve supplier quality and performance standards.




- Support key customer compliance requirements.

Risk & Integration

- Align IMS with risk, governance and compliance frameworks.
- Support risk reporting and business integration activities.
- Ensure consistent standards across recent acquisitions.

Leadership

- Lead and develop the quality function across multiple sites.
- Build capability and embed IMS ownership throughout the business.

What you need to succeed/experience required:

- Australian Citizenship - mandatory
- Proven experience in a senior quality management system leadership role (Head of Management System Quality, Quality Manager, or equivalent) within defence industry.
- Strong background in industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or service-based environments
- Demonstrated experience implementing and managing ISO 9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 or similar systems
- Strong commercial understanding with the ability to balance quality risk, cost, and delivery
- Experience working across multi-site or multi-entity organisations

Qualifications

- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (preferred)
- Lead Auditor qualification (for ISO 9001 or equivalent) is highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of quality, safety and environmental risk, and compliance frameworks
