WA QSE Officer

Location: Perth, WA

Freyssinet Australia is a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions, specialising in remedial engineering, structural strengthening, asset preservation, and infrastructure maintenance. We are seeking an experienced and proactive WA QSE Officer to support the delivery of our diverse portfolio of projects across Western Australia, including remedial marine works.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with project teams in the field, building strong relationships with supervisors and crews, and driving a positive safety, quality, and environmental culture across our projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the Australia and New Zealand Quality, Safety and Environmental Manager and working closely with the WA QSE Lead, you will play a key role in supporting project compliance and day-to-day site operations across multiple project locations.

The position requires a strong site presence, regular interaction with operational teams, and the ability to provide practical guidance to ensure compliance with company systems, client requirements, and legislative obligations.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain a regular presence across project sites throughout Western Australia.
- Support project teams with the implementation of Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, workplace observations, and compliance reviews.
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Facilitate site inductions and contribute to toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Support project teams in preparing and reviewing SWMS, risk assessments, inspection test plans, and environmental controls.
- Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, company standards, and client requirements.
- Assist in the collection, reporting, and analysis of QSE performance data.




- Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and engagement with frontline personnel.
- Build trusted relationships with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and site personnel.

About You To be successful in this role, you will be a practical and approachable QSE skilled who enjoys being on-site and working directly with operational teams.

You will ideally possess

- Previous experience in a QSE, HSE, WHS or Safety Officer position within construction, infrastructure, marine, remedial, civil, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to engage with workers at all levels and positively influence behaviours.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent (preferred).
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites.
