Milestone IT is partnering with a leading retail organisation undergoing a significant Identity and Access Management transformation, including the migration from Okta to Microsoft Entra ID.

We are seeking an experienced Identity Engineer with solid hands-on expertise across both Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, who understands identity lifecycle management and can contribute to the successful delivery of this enterprise-wide migration.

About the Role

As an Identity Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation and migration of identity services from Okta to Microsoft Entra ID. You will work closely with technical teams, security stakeholders and business teams to ensure identities, access and authentication services are migrated effectively while maintaining security and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the migration from Okta to Microsoft Entra ID across a complex enterprise environment
- Design, implement and maintain identity and access management solutions
- Work across Microsoft Entra ID and Okta, including configuration, integration and troubleshooting
- Support identity lifecycle management, including joiner, mover and leaver processes
- Manage identity provisioning, deprovisioning and access changes
- Configure and support SSO, MFA, Conditional Access and authentication policies
- Work with RBAC, groups, roles and access governance
- Support integrations between identity platforms and enterprise applications
- Assist with identity synchronisation and provisioning processes
- Troubleshoot identity, authentication and access-related issues
- Contribute to migration planning, testing, documentation and implementation activities




- Work with security and infrastructure teams to ensure identity solutions align with enterprise security standards
- Support the transition of migrated services into BAU operations

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong experience as an Identity Engineer, IAM Engineer or similar
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Hands-on experience with Okta
- Demonstrated experience working on an Okta to Entra ID migration or a similar IAM transformation
- Strong understanding of Identity Lifecycle Management
- Experience with Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) processes
- Strong understanding of identity provisioning and deprovisioning
- Experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth/OIDC and MFA
- Experience with Conditional Access and RBAC
- Understanding of identity governance and access management principles
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments

Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID Governance
- Experience with Entra Connect / Cloud Sync
- Experience with automated identity provisioning
- Knowledge of SCIM
- Experience integrating SaaS applications with Entra ID or Okta
- Experience within large retail or similarly complex enterprise environments
