Samaras Structural Engineers have successfully completed many major infrastructure and iconic development projects in NSW, VIC, and SA.

The role

Reporting to the Surface Treatment Manager, the Site Painter will be required to undertake the following tasks:

Key responsibilities

- Surface preparation and application of various paint systems
- Complete daily surface and ambient testing with digital equipment
- Ensure all Record Keeping is up to date for QA requirements
- Progressive testing and recording for Environmental conditions WFT & DFT
- Constant communication with Site Supervisor and Client Supervisors to maximise each day's production

About you

- Minimum 3 years' Experience as an Industrial Painter and be able to organise works to maximise efficiency
- Very strong commitment to workplace Health and Safety
- Positive communication skills both oral and written
- Experience in Industrial blast and paint in the field with particular exposure touching up damaged surfaces
- Experience using 2k Zinc, Epoxy,



Top Coating and Fire proof coatings
- Experience with surface preparation requirements for industrial protective coatings
- Experience applying paint with Spray equipment, Brush and Roller
- Ability to Paint to required Wet Film Thickness (WFT) / Dry Film Thickness (DFT)
- Proficient in the use of coating inspection instruments (WFT and DFT gauges) including recording daily surface and ambient conditions
- Be physically fit and able to perform duties as required
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- Working at Heights licence
- EWP> 11 metres licence
- Scissor lift ticket
- Construction Industry White Card
- RIW ticket
- NACE / AMPP accreditation would be favourable

Qualifications Ideally, you would have as a minimum a 1 – 3 years’ experience in field painting, however, if you have a very strong background in Industrial Blast and Paint and are ready to step up to a new challenge, please apply.
