About the opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail and parcels comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

Role Details

- Pay Rate Commencing at $29.25 / hour, increasing to $31.27 / hour after 3 months, + 12% Superannuation
- Training Comprehensive, paid training program
- Hours You’ll need to be available Monday to Friday, between the hours of 5 am to 5.06 pm, shifts are 3 hours each day
- Locations This is a relief based role, shifts will be rostered at, Mt Ommaney, Springfield Post Office, Springfield Parcel Hub, Booval, Kenmore, Inala and Indooroopilly, please consider travel before applying

You’ll be

- Manually sorting all mail and parcels arriving at the workplace, into Post Office boxes, Parcel Lockers
- Scanning parcels
- Assisting customers who are collecting parcels
- Ad hoc administration ensuring the back of house area is running smoothly

You’ll also need to

- Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting
- Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift
