A well-established electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join their Brisbane team.
This is a hands-on role supporting multiple projects, working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials, agreements and deliveries are managed efficiently.
The Role You’ll coordinate purchasing activities across multiple projects, including:
- Managing supplier and subcontractor agreements, including retention
- Sourcing materials and negotiating pricing, terms and conditions
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Coordinating material requirements with Project Managers and Site Teams
- Managing supplier and subcontractor delivery schedules
- Managing payment schedules, variations, invoices and retention
- Monitoring supplier and subcontractor performance
- Maintaining accurate procurement and project documentation
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving purchasing processes
- Ensuring materials are available when required to keep projects moving
About You To be successful,
you’ll have:
- Experience in purchasing/procurement within electrical, construction, engineering or a similar environment
- Proven experience managing supplier and subcontractor agreements
- Understanding of subcontractor payment schedules and variations
- Experience coordinating purchasing across multiple projects
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence dealing with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, suppliers and subcontractors
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems and strong Excel skills
